Find the wonders behind some home and community gardens gates, each showcasing plants, techniques, and designs that suit the Gold Coast growing climate.
Gaia’s Eden

Step into a subtropical wonderland on 600 square metres. Sweet potato covers the ground, passionfruit lines the wall and bananas tower overhead. Shaun and Mariko are producing an abundance of organic produce on a suburban block in Burleigh.
As you weave your way around you'll see water-saving design, native bees and plenty of corners to rest and play.
Ground Currumbin

Ground Currumbin is more than a café — it’s a community hub.
A place to connect with friends and family, enjoy open space with the kids, and share meaningful conversations.With the support of Syntropic Solutions, their thriving Edible Garden is bursting with seasonal veggies and salads grown using syntropic principles. The harvest goes straight to their café menu and Grocer store, offering fresh food from soil to plate.
At the Garden Trail, you’ll not only explore their abundant garden but also enjoy a coffee and something delicious to eat.
Rosemary Gaia

TSS Agriculture Gardens

At The Southport School, the Edible Garden Program is thriving.
What began with a Mini Food Forest and seasonal beds has grown into a living classroom where students explore natural systems up close.
Sweet potatoes and ginger flourish alongside native plants and pollinators, creating a biodiverse space that showcases the beauty and efficiency of syntropic design.
This is more than a garden — it’s hands-on education and fun. A visit not to miss!
Ediblescapes

Ediblescapes is a community garden with a difference. When you step into the maze of food forest rows, you're embraced by layers of food plants on all sides.
The local community, led by Jorge, researches sustainable food production and soil building techniques and apply them here to create an abundance of produce without the use of synthetic fertilisers.

Southern Beaches Community Gardens

Just off the highway at Tugun you'll find the expansive Southern Beaches Community Garden.
Open to the public everyday, but on trail day the growers will be offering hourly tours around the allotment garden beds, the composting hub, food forest and sharing tips and tricks for you to try at home.
